SeaMonkey is a community effort to deliver an high production-quality releases of web browser code derived from "Mozilla Application Suite". The program includes the email client.




Available both as ZIP and WarpIN package:

  • download the ZIP or 7 ZIP package to temporary directory and unpack it to destination folder;
  • the WarpIN package is self-installing.

  • Seamonkey must be installed on a partition that supports long filenames, i.e. HPFS or JFS.
  • Before starting the program, it is useful setting Mozilla_Home variable in Config.Sys file, to preserve profile and plugin directories and make program upgrades easier. For example:
    Then you can keep all your plugins in %MOZILLA_HOME%\Mozilla\Plugins directory.
  • To enable Innotek Fontengine the configuration registry key is:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Innotek\Innotek Font Engine\Applications
    Attention!! for Fontengine 2.60 the key is:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Innotek\Innotek Font Engine\Applications
    The value, for both is:
    DWORD: Enabled = 0x00000001
  • You can load XUL.DLL in high memory using Highmem.

You can install the prerequisites with rpm running the following string in a command line:

yum install libc libssp libgcc1 libgcc-fwd libstdc++6 libsupc++6 freetype fontconfig libkai pthread mmap
