This is a simple OS/2 "PAUSE" driver: Add in your config.sys the statement DEVICE=C:\OS2\PAUSE.SYS and the scrolling display during system boot-up will stop, allowing you to read driver loading messages. Multiple instances allowed. Helpful to analize OS/2 boot phase.

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Pause Driver v. 13021993 (13/2/1993, Richard Feezel) Readme/What's new
The enclosed OS/2 driver file 'PAUSE.SYS' is a handy little item I put together so I could pause the rapidly scrolling display during driver loading during OS/2 startup. To use it, simply copy the PAUSE.SYS file to your C:\OS2 directory and place a line in your CONFIG.SYS like: DEVICE=C:\OS2\PAUSE.SYS The placement in the CONFIG.SYS file determines where the pause will occur. Multiple instances of this statement are allowed. This driver is compatible with OS/2 versions 1.x and 2.0. I don't have 2.1 yet so I haven't been able to test it, it will probably work fine. Enjoy, Richard Feezel 72401,1055
